Mentors (8 positions)

Mentors support and manage small groups of participants (as “platoons”) throughout each event, and all work together throughout the week.

Mentors will spend most of their time with the participants (two mentors per platoon of six participants) and are primarily responsible for the individual and collective welfare needs of their platoon.

Mentors will be required to remain at the camp site for the entire length of the camp.

Activity Facilitators (3-8 Positions per agency)

Activity Facilitators teach particular skills related to the key functions your agency such as fighting fires, road crash rescue, storm assistance and community engagement.

Activity Facilitators will be required to attend at least one day (eight hours), and will work together with other facilitators to deliver learning activities through day sessions.

Learning sessions teach particular skills related to the key functions your agency such as urban firefighting, rural firefighting, storm and flood response, land management and community resilience.

Activity Facilitators will work with other agencies and adapt skills, techniques and processes to provide generalised instruction.

All accommodation, meals, induction training and camp costs will be covered.
