Girls Fire Camp Brewarrina

About the camp

We’re back for 2021 and we’re excited to be bringing Girls on Fire to Brewarrina!.

As a part of the 2021 program for Girls on Fire we are running a three-day Girls Fire Camp in Brewarrina, from the 28th of May to the 31st of May 2021 at the Merriman Shearing School in Brewarrina NSW.

The camp is open to female participants (aged 15-19), and all accommodation, meal and camp costs will be covered.

Objectives

The Girls on Fire Experience intends to give girls and young women insight into and understanding of the fire and emergency services industry, and to ignite pathways as a volunteer or as a career in firefighting and the emergency services.

To complete the application, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your contact details,

  • Your parent or carer’s details,

  • Your grade at school,

  • Your date of birth,

  • Medical information (such as allergies, medications and conditions),

  • Dietary information,

  • T-shirt size,

  • Your responses to three targeted questions:

    • Please briefly tell us why you would like to participate in the Girls Fire Camp at Brewarrina.

    • Why do you think it is important for young women to be empowered?

    • Do you have any experience working with emergency services previously? In one sentence, please explain.
